With hyaluronic acid deep mimic wrinkles can be injected. In contrast to Botox®, it does not relax the muscles, but creates a depot under the sunken areas. The resulting volume effect smoothes the skin and gives it a young, firm and radiant appearance.
Hyaluronic acid is an endogenous substance that stores water and protects our skin from free radicals. When injected into the appropriate areas, it acts like a kind of filling material that underpins wrinkles. Besides this effect, the skin is stimulated to form new collagen fibres. This significantly increases elasticity - the skin looks firm and healthy. For very pronounced wrinkles, hyaluronic acid can be used in combination with Botox®.
Hyaluronic acid is injected either with very fine needles or blunt cannulas, depending on the area of treatment. The treatment is almost painless and leaves practically no traces.
In rare cases there is a temporary slight bluish discoloration or small swellings in the area of the injection site. These can be very well concealed with a little make-up so that the application does not show. Please refrain from sports, sauna, sun and solarium on the treatment day. There will be no restriction of your ability to work or your driving ability.
After a certain time, hyaluronic acid is completely broken down by the body. There are no known long-term side effects from the use of hyaluronic acid.
First results are visible immediately after the treatment. An improved skin texture and optimal volume increase are visible about three months after the application. The treated area and the condition of the skin are two of several factors that influence the period of effect. As a rule, the application lasts at least six to twelve months.
A skin injection is a medical procedure that may only be performed by a doctor after he has been informed. A medical treatment of this kind may not be performed by a beautician, a hairdresser or in a tattoo studio. It is not sufficient to suggest a treatment "under medical supervision". Please note that the costs are not necessarily higher due to a professional medical treatment. Be on the safe side - you are worth it!
